The Land of the Czars - A Preview of Russian Culture and Language

When the term Russia is spoken, what comes into the mind is the Tsar, Yuri Gagarin, socialism, Vodka, Orthodox church and military power but these actually represent just a small part of what can described as the great Federal Republic of Russia. It was the largest and most dominant constituent of the former Soviet Union (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics-USSR) which was dissolved in 1991 giving rise to emergence of several states including Russia. It has the largest land mass on earth and at the same time is one of the most powerful and major influential world powers.
